Sunflowers from God Ministries’ seeds were planted during the hardest time of founder Heather Lea’s adult life. Dealing with toxic stress and battling deep depression, God used wild sunflowers on the side of the road to reach into the darkness and let Heather know that He was there and that He had a plan for her life. Heather held onto this message of hope through many hard fought years in therapy and battling mental illness, to emerge on the other side ready to thank God for his love and mercy by giving back to the hurting people God sends into her life. God put it on Heather’s heart to start an encouragement ministry to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his message of forgiveness and hope through those same sunflowers He still sends her everyday!
